Construction Quality Inspector (Long-Term Contract)

Our client is seeking an experienced Construction Quality Inspector to support the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) at Fort Stewart, GA. This role will provide construction inspection services on large, complex Department of Defense (DoD) projects. The Construction Quality Inspector will play a critical role in ensuring construction activities comply with contract documents, USACE standards, and safety requirements.
The majority of the work will involve field construction inspection and reporting, with frequent interaction with government representatives and contractors. Candidates must demonstrate strong technical expertise, professionalism, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities-
Review and interpret construction plans and specifications for completeness, accuracy, and constructability.

Perform field inspections of construction activities to ensure compliance with contract requirements, codes, and standards.

Document daily construction activities, observations, and deficiencies through detailed inspection reports.

Monitor contractor quality control activities and verify corrective actions.

Support and participate in the USACE Three Phase Inspection Process.

Verify compliance with EM 385-1-1 Safety and Health Requirements.

Coordinate and communicate effectively with USACE personnel, contractors, and project stakeholders.

Utilize Resident Management System (RMS) to document inspections, track issues, and support project reporting.

Maintain a professional presence on-site while upholding high standards of accuracy and integrity.

High School Diploma plus 10 years of relevant experience, or demonstrated equivalency through experience and/or education.

U.S. Citizenship (required).

Minimum 5 years of construction inspection experience on large DoD construction projects.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to work independently in an active construction environment.

10 years of experience as a construction project inspector on large, complex, multi-million-dollar DoD construction projects.

Experience using Microsoft Office applications.

Proficiency with USACE Resident Management System (RMS).

Knowledge of the USACE Three Phase Inspection Process.

Working knowledge of EM 385-1 Safety Requirements.

CQM (Construction Quality Management) Certification.
