Responsibilities
- Coordinate procurement activities by processing purchase orders through ERP systems like SAP and Oracle EBS, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Source reliable suppliers, evaluate vendor performance, and develop strong supplier relationships to secure competitive pricing and quality standards.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, delivery terms, and service agreements with vendors to maximize value and mitigate risks.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, logistics, and inventory management teams to align procurement strategies with production schedules and inventory needs.
- Monitor MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems to forecast demand, manage inventory levels, and optimize supply chain efficiency.
- Manage vendor management processes including supplier onboarding, performance evaluations, and contract renewals.
- Support supply chain management initiatives by coordinating logistics, tracking shipments, and resolving any procurement or delivery issues promptly.
Skills
- Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle EBS for procurement management and order processing.
- Strong understanding of supply chain management principles including inventory control, logistics, and vendor management.
- Excellent negotiation skills with a proven ability to secure favorable terms in contracts and pricing agreements.
- Knowledge of sourcing strategies, procurement best practices, and contract management processes.
- Experience working with manufacturing teams to ensure timely procurement aligned with production needs.
- Ability to analyze data related to procurement activities using tools like MRP systems for forecasting and planning purposes.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate across departments and build productive supplier relationships.
