Office Services Technician

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Office Services Technician to support daily operations at a corporate office location in Downtown Chicago. This role is responsible for performing a wide range of office services and logistical support activities that help ensure smooth day-to-day operations for employees and leadership within the office.
The ideal candidate is customer-service focused, highly organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced office environment while managing multiple responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities- Receive, sort, and deliver incoming mail, packages, boxes, and dry-cleaning deliveries.
- Prepare shipments and create shipping labels using various ground and express delivery carriers.
- Maintain employee mail recipient lists and mailbox assignments.
- Coordinate scheduling and reservations of company fleet vehicles for cleaning, maintenance, and project use.
- Maintain fleet vehicles including cleaning, fueling, and coordinating maintenance needs.
- Set up and break down conference rooms on a daily basis.
- Assist with new employee workstation setup, ensuring lights, phones, outlets, and supplies are operational and available.
- Support employee offboarding by removing, logging, and packing desk items and restoring workspaces for future use.
- Communicate office needs and maintenance requests with building management and internal contacts.
- Repair and maintain miscellaneous office and workstation equipment.
- Assist with office construction projects, floor plan changes, and internal office moves.
- Process employee badges and professional photographs, including editing and uploading into internal systems.
- Provide front desk coverage during lunch breaks, including:
- Answering multi-line phones
- Greeting guests
- Visitor check-in/check-out
- Routing badge-related issues to security
- Coordinate event and meeting setups, including large-scale meetings (300 attendees):
- Beverage setup
- Table and room reconfiguration
- Vendor coordination
- Attendance tracking
- Assistance with audio/visual equipment
- Manage office and kitchen supplies including inventory tracking, stocking, and product rotation.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Comply with all company policies and operational standards.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience required.
- Prior office services or corporate facilities experience preferred.
- Ability to lift and move packages up to 50 pounds; heavier items may be handled with team assistance or support equipment.
- Strong customer service skills with a professional and friendly demeanor.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet daily deadlines.
- Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented.
