Payroll and Billing Specialist

With our continued growth and mission focus we are looking to add a Payroll/ Billing Specialist to our team in the Long Island Office. This role will be hybrid.

Position Summary

Are you a detail-oriented financial professional with a passion for accuracy and organization? We're looking for a Payroll/Billing Specialist to join our team and manage a key book of business across both payroll and billing functions.

In this role, you'll play a critical part in ensuring a seamless internal and external client experience — handling full-cycle payroll, client billing, and everything in between.

Essential Job Duties

• Handle end-to-end payroll and billing for a portfolio of clients
• Accurately enter payroll data and maintain up-to-date employee records
• Process W-2s, garnishments, and direct deposits
• Generate and issue invoices, credit memos, and resolve any discrepancies
• Collaborate with sales, customer service, and clients to investigate and resolve issues
• Ensure confidentiality and integrity in all payroll and billing matters

Position Requirements

• 2 years of experience in payroll, billing, or collections
• Strong data entry skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Experience with Valiant and QuickBooks a plus
• Highly organized with strong critical thinking and communication skills
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• A team player with a strong sense of integrity and confidentiality
• High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)
• Previous experience in a service-based company is ideal

The expected hiring range for this position is $31.00- $34.00 an hour plus overtime, commensurate with experience and location.
