Overview
Join our dynamic security team as a Security Shift Supervisor, where you will lead and coordinate security operations during your assigned shift. This vital role ensures the safety and protection of personnel, property, and assets through proactive supervision, effective communication, and adherence to security protocols. As a leader on the ground, you will oversee security personnel, manage incident responses, and maintain a secure environment that promotes confidence and peace of mind for everyone on site.
Schedule: Monday-Friday 4pm-12am
Pay Rate: $20.50
Responsibilities
- Supervise security staff during your shift, providing guidance, support, and ensuring compliance with company policies and safety procedures
- Monitor surveillance systems such as CCTV to detect suspicious activity and ensure continuous site security
- Respond promptly to incidents or emergencies, coordinating with law enforcement or emergency services as needed
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises to identify potential security risks or breaches
- Manage access control procedures for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors to maintain a secure environment
- Document all incidents, shift activities, and security breaches through detailed reports for record-keeping and analysis
- Oversee conflict management efforts, de-escalating situations calmly and professionally to prevent escalation
Qualifications
- Proven experience in security operations or law enforcement roles with a strong understanding of surveillance techniques and loss prevention strategies
- Certification in first aid and CPR to respond effectively in medical emergencies
- Knowledge of CCTV systems, access control methods, and conflict management skills
- Background in military or law enforcement service is highly desirable
- Ability to handle stressful situations with professionalism and confidence while maintaining alertness during long shifts
- Excellent communication skills for clear reporting and team coordination
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while ensuring safety standards are upheld
