Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. The ideal candidate will have experience in various caregiving settings, including home health, assisted living, and group homes. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by offering personalized care and support.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
- Monitor and document vital signs and changes in client health status.
- Administer medications as prescribed and ensure adherence to care plans.
- Assist with mobility needs, including the use of Hoyer lifts for heavier lifting when necessary.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment by performing light housekeeping tasks.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote cognitive function and social interaction.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Provide specialized care for individuals with conditions such as Alzheimer’s, dementia, or developmental disabilities.
Skills
- First aid and CPR certification is preferred.
- Experience in home health care, assisted living, or nursing homes is highly valued.
- Strong patient observation skills to identify changes in health or behavior.
- Ability to assist with meal preparation and cooking for clients.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure client confidentiality and privacy.
- Experience working with diverse populations, including seniors and individuals with disabilities or autism.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when required for client mobility assistance.
- Familiarity with memory care techniques and direct support services.
