Job Overview

Duties
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Provide patient observation and monitoring, ensuring safety and well-being.
- Administer medications as prescribed and maintain accurate care plans.
- Support clients with mobility needs, including the use of Hoyer lifts when necessary.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote social interaction and cognitive stimulation.
- Maintain cleanliness in the living environment, ensuring a safe and hygienic space.
- Document vital signs and report any changes in client condition to appropriate personnel.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a trusting relationship.
- Assist with cooking nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs.
- Provide care for individuals with specific needs such as Alzheimer’s care, dementia care, or developmental disabilities.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in caregiving or related fields such as home health, hospice care, or long-term care is preferred.
- Knowledge of first aid and CPR certification is highly desirable.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with families and healthcare professionals.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure client confidentiality is maintained.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when assisting clients with mobility challenges.
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine interest in providing quality care to seniors or individuals requiring assistance.
