What You’ll Do
Client & Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients and projects.
- Build strong, long-term client relationships through clear communication and follow-through.
- Proactively manage expectations, resolve issues, and ensure client satisfaction.
- Represent Argus professionally in all client-facing interactions.
- Support business development efforts, including proposals, scopes, and fee development.
- Promote Argus’s services and expertise to existing and prospective clients.
- Participate in conferences and marketing activities as appropriate.
- Lead projects from planning through closeout, ensuring scope, schedule, and budget alignment.
- Develop project plans, schedules, and staffing strategies.
- Coordinate internal teams, subconsultants, and client stakeholders.
- Lead project meetings, site visits, and client presentations.
- Ensure deliverables meet project requirements, specifications, and applicable codes.
- Ensure projects comply with Argus quality control standards.
- Identify and manage project risks proactively.
- Monitor project financial performance, including budgets, labor, and profitability.
- Coordinate invoicing, change orders, and subconsultant reviews in partnership with Accounting and Project Controls.
What We’re Looking For
This role is best suited for professionals with direct experience managing engineering or infrastructure projects in a client-facing consulting environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred; technical or business background with relevant experience considered.
- Minimum 5 years of engineering or consulting engineering experience.
- Professional Engineer (PE) registration preferred.
- PMP certification considered in place of PE registration.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with experience leading project teams.
- Ability to motivate teams and deliver high-quality results.
- Willingness to travel and work directly with clients and stakeholders.
- High degree of emotional intelligence, integrity, and ethical leadership.
- Consulting engineering (not just internal PM)
- Aviation, fuel systems, industrial infrastructure, or similar
- Client-facing PM responsibility (not coordinator-level)
- Experience owning budgets profitability
- Located in Kansas City Metro (Overland Park, KS)
- Combination of office and jobsite environments.
- Approximately 20% travel required based on project and client needs.
