ANALYST: Strategy & Analytics | Office of the CSO

Summary:
Archwest Capital is seeking a driven and intellectually curious Analyst to serve as the right-hand partner to the Chief Strategy Officer. This is a high-visibility, high-impact role designed for someone who thrives at the intersection of data, finance, and strategic thinking.
The Analyst will play a central role in supporting the CSO's day-to-day priorities — from synthesizing market and competitive intelligence to building financial models and conducting deep-dive product research. This person will be expected to develop quickly, take on increasing ownership, and grow into a key voice within the organization.
This role is ideal for a self-directed professional with 2 years of experience who is eager to be embedded in senior-level decision-making from day one.
Essential Functions:
Strategic & Analytical Support
- Serve as the primary analytical partner to the CSO, translating complex data and research into clear, decision-ready insights.
- Build and maintain financial models to evaluate business performance, new initiatives, and investment opportunities.
- Prepare internal briefings, executive summaries, and presentation materials for leadership and board-level audiences.
- Synthesize findings across multiple workstreams and deliver structured recommendations to senior stakeholders.
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Source, clean, and analyze large datasets to surface trends, anomalies, and actionable insights.
- Design and maintain dashboards and reporting tools that track KPIs and business metrics across the organization.
- Conduct scenario analysis and stress testing to support risk management and planning efforts.
- Partner with internal teams to ensure data integrity and consistency across reports and systems.
Product & Market Research
- Conduct in-depth research on competitive landscape, emerging market trends, and product dynamics relevant to Archwest Capital's strategy.
- Evaluate new product opportunities, business lines, or market entry strategies through structured analysis and frameworks.
- Monitor industry developments and synthesize implications for the company's strategic roadmap.
- Produce research reports and competitive benchmarking analyses for leadership review.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate closely with Finance, Operations, and other business units to support enterprise-wide planning and reporting.
- Assist in the preparation of materials for investor updates, board presentations, and external stakeholders as needed.
- Support ad hoc strategic projects and special initiatives as directed by the CSO.
Competencies/Skills:
Technical Skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (financial modeling, scenario analysis, pivot tables).
- Strong PowerPoint skills with experience building clear, polished executive presentations.
- Experience working with large datasets; comfort with data querying tools (SQL, Python, or similar) a strong plus.
- Familiarity with BI platforms or data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) preferred.

- Demonstrated ability to build financial models and perform rigorous quantitative analysis.
- Strong understanding of business fundamentals and financial statements.
