SENIOR ANALYST | FINANCIAL PLANNING & ANALYSIS

Reports to: Vice President, Financial Planning & Analysis
Position Overview:
The Senior Financial Analyst (FP&A) plays a critical role in driving financial performance, budgeting, forecasting, and business planning. This position partners closely with Accounting, Capital Markets, and business leaders to deliver actionable financial insights, support strategic initiatives, and enhance decision-making.
This role bridges execution and strategy—owning complex financial analyses while contributing to long-term planning and organizational growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning & Financial Analysis
- Support the development and execution of financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
- Provide forward-looking financial insights and recommendations to leadership.
- Support strategic initiatives, capital allocation, and investment decisions to maximize value creation.
- Collaborate with Accounting and Capital Markets to ensure alignment across financial strategy and execution.
Financial Analysis & Performance Management
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track financial and operational performance.
- Analyze business trends, market dynamics, and internal data to identify risks and opportunities.
- Build and maintain complex financial models to support decision-making and scenario planning.
- Conduct variance analysis, risk assessments, and performance reviews across business units.
- Drive productivity and cost-efficiency initiatives in partnership with cross-functional teams.
Budgeting, Forecasting & Reporting
- Lead components of the annual budgeting process, long-term planning, and rolling forecasts.
- Prepare and present financial reports, insights, and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and transparency in financial reporting.
- Enhance FP&A processes through automation, systems improvements, and best practices.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Accounting to ensure financial integrity, compliance, and reporting alignment.
- Collaborate with Capital Markets on liquidity planning, debt financing, and investment strategies.
- Act as a trusted financial advisor to business unit leaders to support operational decisions.
- Mentor junior analysts and support knowledge sharing across the team.
Competencies & Skills
- Solid understanding of financial statements, GAAP principles, and investment analysis.
- Experience working cross-functionally with Accounting and Capital Markets teams.
- Advanced analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with ERP systems, financial planning tools, and business intelligence platforms.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and PowerPoint required).
- High attention to detail with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (MBA or CFA preferred).
- 5–8 years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, investment banking, or consulting.
- Experience in a high-growth or fast-paced environment preferred.
