What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate- Construction Management Fund Control position at Archwest Capital?
Position Summary:
This role will be responsible for construction fund control coordination and is based in our Irvine, CA office. This position will conduct risk assessment of real estate projects, conduct thorough reviews of property evaluations, and market conditions.
Essential Functions
- Analyze construction documents and draw request for accuracy and policy
- Evaluating contractor qualifications, construction contracts, and project team experience
- Ensure compliance with loan policies and guidelines
- Reviewing third party reports (inspection reports)
- Identifying and mitigating risk related to zoning, permits, market conditions, and construction complexity
- Provide personalized client service to meet borrower needs
- Post close distribution of funds and management of fund control conditions
- Management of the draw process post underwriting
- Reviewing and disbursing construction loan draws based on guidelines and progress
- Calculating and allocating funds to specific budget line items
- Identifying and addressing budget shortfalls or discrepancies
- Ordering and reviewing third-party inspection reports
- Monitoring construction holdback portfolios and resolving lien issues
- Communicating with borrowers, inspectors, and other stakeholders regarding draw statuses and project progress

- Construction Experience and or Project Accounting Experience a plus
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- High School Diploma required
- Minimum 2 years of experience in construction underwriting and/or fund control
- Trustpoint Experience a plus

Salary : $65,000 - $85,000
