What are the responsibilities and job description for the Architectural Door Fabrication Operator position at Aquila Talent Solutions?
Architectural Door Fabrication Operator
Location: Howell, MI 48843
A day in this role
You clock in to a clean, busy shop focused on speed, service, and quality. Your morning starts by reviewing written work orders, machining sheets, and templates to configure custom doors and frames. You set up and run only the machines you’ve been trained and certified to operate, keeping a close eye on safety and efficiency as you go. If a discrepancy or defect appears, you alert the Shop Supervisor right away. Periodic maintenance checks are part of your routine—if something looks off or a safety concern arises, you speak up immediately.
Throughout the day, you balance throughput with care, following quality control guidelines and keeping your area organized. When you finish your daily work orders, you notify the Shop Supervisor, who may assign another task or have you begin on the next day’s orders. Clear communication matters here—if you arrive late or need to leave early, the Shop Supervisor is the first to know.
