When you step onto the floor at Forte Opening Solutions, you join a team that transforms raw materials into high‑performing architectural doors. You’ll review work orders, machining sheets, and templates, map out the sequence of cuts and operations, and then bring each door to spec—safely, efficiently, and with pride. Throughout the shift, you’ll keep your area tidy, communicate with your Shop Supervisor, and make sure every product meets strict quality guidelines. And if you work 2nd shift, you’ll earn an additional $1.10 per hour shift differential.
What you’ll do
- Interpret written work orders, machining sheets, and templates; carry out the required operations to configure doors to specification.
- Flag discrepancies, defects, or unusual conditions to the Shop Supervisor promptly.
- Operate only the machines for which you’ve been trained and certified, demonstrating proficiency with each.
- Run equipment safely and efficiently, perform periodic/basic maintenance, and escalate equipment or safety concerns to the Shop Supervisor.
- Sequence tasks to maximize throughput without compromising safety.
- Apply and follow all relevant quality control procedures and standards.
- Keep your workspace clean and organized throughout the day.
- Notify the Shop Supervisor if you anticipate arriving late or leaving early.
- Report when daily work orders are finished; be ready to assist on additional tasks or begin on the next day’s orders as directed.
