A day in this role
When you clock in, you’ll review the production schedule to confirm the right product is in the right place at the right time. You’ll rotate across work areas—loading and unloading doors and raw materials, assembling and crafting components, and moving products through each stage of the manufacturing process. You’ll set and adjust equipment parameters, verify they meet required specs, and perform quality checks at multiple points. Throughout the shift, you’ll communicate with teammates to keep product flowing, log downtime and production data, and wrap up with housekeeping to maintain a clean, safe workspace.
What you’ll handle
- Support a safe workplace by following all procedures, asking questions, and living our Target Zero mindset
- Read and follow daily production schedules and job orders
- Interpret schematics; set/adjust machine parameters and confirm targets are achieved
- Stage and replenish materials to maintain continuous production
- Conduct in-process quality checks to ensure specifications are met
- Maintain accurate downtime and production records; communicate clearly to coordinate workflow
- General housekeeping to keep the area organized and safe
What helps you thrive here
- Preferably 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Computer literacy to read order specs and update databases
- Accurate measurement skills with a tape measure and calipers
- Comfort using hand and power tools; able to drive forklifts and use push carts safely
- Physical ability to lift up to 60 lbs and occasionally push/pull up to 100 lbs; able to sit, kneel, and stoop
- Math skills: add/subtract fractions and whole numbers; convert fractions to decimals
- Read, follow, and understand written and verbal work instructions; basic writing skills
- Reliable attendance, strong teamwork, self-motivation, and accountability to safety and quality
