Our client is seeking support of a Director of HR / CHRO on a fractional basis. This is with a direct client of Aprio.
THREE MUST HAVES: (No candidate will be accepted that does not meet these)

- MUST be bilingual (Spanish / English)
- MUST have recent industry experience in restaurant / hospitality
Location: Miami, FL (Seeking local candidates who can be in-office multiple days per week)
Role: Fractional Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) / Director of HR
Hourly rate: Up to $120/hr based on experience
(Client is budget conscience so top end must meet nearly all criteria with skill set and industry experience)
***This a Fractional position with an estimated work load of 20/hrs per week for 6 months.
Summary: This is with a well established LATAM based company that is beginning operations in the US and the role will report directly to executive leadership in Mexico. Locations being opened will be restaurants, bars, clubs, casinos, etc.

What You’ll Own
- Design and implement HR policies, procedures, and compliance frameworks across all U.S. states and territories of operation
- Develop HR infrastructure for both office and hourly restaurant staff (kitchen, cleaning, and service teams)
- Establish employee benefits programs from scratch, including health, dental, and other ancillary offerings
- Identify and implement employment insurance and workers’ compensation coverage tailored to the hospitality industry
- Serve as the point of contact for payroll provider to address any payroll-related questions or issues
- Act as HR legal and compliance POC for workforce-related matters
- Partner with leadership on talent management, employee relations, and organizational development
- Collaborate with IT and operations on rollout of new systems and tools, including HRIS and POS integrations (TOAST platform)
Must-Haves
- Recent industry experience in restaurant / hospitality
- Proven experience building HR operations, policies, and compliance frameworks from the ground up
- Experience supporting both corporate and restaurant or hospitality workforces
- Strong knowledge of U.S. labor laws, multi-state compliance, and employee relations
- Demonstrated success implementing benefits, insurance, and workers’ compensation programs
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Ability to work flexibly with both onsite and remote teams
Nice to Have
- Previous CHRO, Head of People, or HR Director experience within hospitality, restaurant groups, or multi-location service businesses
- Familiarity with HRIS and POS implementations (TOAST preferred)
Salary : $80 - $120
