What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part time Staff Accountant position at AppleOne?
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Part-Time Staff Accountant to join our finance team supporting two companies: VREV and ACV. This role reports directly to the Controller and plays a critical role in managing accounts payable, bank reconciliations, monthly closings, and financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and manage cash for both companies daily, including bank balance reporting and cash flow distribution.
Process, code, and enter VREV accounts payable invoices; prepare and issue VREV A/P checks.
Prepare and file DE542 reports to EDD for VREV.
Collect, enter, and maintain W-9 forms for new VREV vendors and maintain the vendor W-9 binder.
Perform monthly VREV general ledger (G/L) entries and complete monthly closing checklists.
Prepare and distribute monthly financial statements for VREV.
Process and code VREV deposits and complete monthly bank reconciliations.
Bill third parties for various items (e.g., parking, Jones CAM, Hudson News, Paseo) and reconcile actual expenses to budget periodically.
Maintain VREV general ledger accounts and reconciliation binders; complete income statement analysis spreadsheets monthly.
Enter ACV general ledger entries using Sage; verify and post daily POS transactions.
Book credit card fees and file chargebacks for all stores.
Process and verify asset additions and disposals for VREV.
Complete ACV monthly bank reconciliations, including website sales.
Enter All Sheets data for all stores.
Enter annual budgets into Sage for both companies.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in accounting, preferably with accounts payable, bank reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
Familiarity with Sage accounting software is a plus.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Excellent communication and data entry skills.
