Our client, a mission-driven nonprofit organization, is seeking a Part-Time HR Generalist / Payroll Specialist to join their growing administrative team. This role is ideal for someone who’s organized, detail-focused, and passionate about supporting both payroll accuracy and human resources functions.
Key Responsibilities:
Process bi-weekly payroll and maintain accurate payroll records
Manage employee timekeeping systems and personnel files
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws
Support HR functions, including:
New hire onboarding
Benefits administration
Employee inquiries and documentation
Partner with finance staff to reconcile payroll reports and assist in audits
Deliver timely, accurate, and confidential support to staff members
What You Bring:
2 years of experience in payroll or HR administration (nonprofit experience is a plus)
Familiarity with payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Paychex, Gusto, or similar)
Knowledge of payroll laws and compliance requirements
Strong attention to detail, communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and care
