A respected Clearwater-based law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its growing Local Government Civil Litigation Practice. This role offers the opportunity to represent municipalities, special districts, and public entities throughout Florida while working on a diverse litigation docket involving personal injury defense, premises liability, civil rights claims, wrongful death, land use disputes, and municipal defense matters.

Job Responsibilities
The Associate Attorney will manage civil litigation matters through all phases of litigation, including legal research, drafting pleadings and motions, conducting discovery, developing case strategy, and preparing for hearings, mediations, depositions, and trials.
The successful candidate will work closely with attorneys, clients, and experts while assuming meaningful responsibility for an active and diverse caseload in a fast-paced litigation practice.

Requirements
- J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
- Active member in good standing with the Florida Bar
- 3-5 years of meaningful civil litigation experience preferred
- Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
- Experience drafting motions, pleadings, briefs, and discovery
- Deposition, hearing, mediation, and trial preparation experience
- Ability to independently manage multiple matters and deadlines
- Excellent judgment, professionalism, and client communication skills
- Located in, or willing to commute within, the Tampa Bay area
