Description
American Traveler is hiring an RN for a combined Med Surg/ER position requiring critical access hospital experience and a ND or compact RN license.
Details
- Acute care setting within a critical access hospital (CAH)
- Combined Med Surg/ER unit caring for both patient populations simultaneously
- Cares for hospitalized inpatients, observation and swing bed patients, outpatients receiving infusions or treatments, and emergency room patients
- 12-bed inpatient capacity with 10 med/surg beds plus outpatient rooms
- Uses Epic EMR for computerized charting and barcode medication scanning
- 12-hour shifts with day/night rotation
- Works every third weekend and every other holiday
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
Requirements
- Active RN license (ND or Compact) required
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
- 2-3 years of Med Surg and/or ER experience preferred
- Critical access hospital (CAH) experience required
- Must be able to work both ER and Med Surg simultaneously
- BSN not required for this position
Additional Information
- Provides comprehensive nursing care across inpatient, outpatient, and emergency room settings
- Navy blue scrubs required as part of the dress code
- All clinicians must badge in and out at the facility
- 8 hours of orientation provided
- Local candidates within 80 miles of the facility may be considered
- Candidates with prior employment at this health system must have an end date at least 6 months prior to submission
