Description
American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for a Med/Surg Tele position at a 25-bed unit in Kentucky, requiring at least 2 years of experience and active ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications.
Details
- 25-bed Med/Surg Tele unit in a community hospital setting
- Patient population includes inpatient, observation, and swing bed patients
- Patient ratio of 1:6
- Night shift schedule: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM (3x12-hour shifts)
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call or floating to other units required
- CPSI EMR experience preferred but not required
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active KY RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
- Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg/Tele RN experience required; 3 years preferred
- Experience with inpatient, observation, and swing bed patients
- Proficiency in IV therapy, phlebotomy, blood product administration, central line blood draws, and peripheral/PICC line management
- Experience with telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and cardiac emergency response
- Skills in respiratory care including chest tubes, oxygen administration, and non-invasive airway management
- Experience with wound care, isolation precautions, and IV insulin protocols
- Two professional references required for consideration
- Valid driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
