Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac Progressive Care Unit (CPCU) night shift position in Maine, requiring an active ME or compact RN license and a minimum of 3 years of experience.
Details
- Work in a Cardiac Progressive Care Unit (CPCU) in a hospital setting
- Patient population includes cardiac, telemetry, and adult med-surg cases
- Night shift schedule: 7p–7a
- 13-week contract
- Every other weekend availability may be required by the Department Manager or Supervisor
- Holiday coverage required for: Christmas Day, New Year's Day, Thanksgiving, Labor Day, Memorial Day, and Fourth of July
Requirements
- Active Maine RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (must be obtained within 30 days of hire if not already held)
- Minimum 3 years of RN experience required
- Telemetry experience preferred
- Strong communication skills and ability to multitask
- Must be a team player with flexibility in scheduling
Additional Information
- Performs patient care functions under the supervision of the Unit Director, in accordance with Maine Board of Nursing standards and facility policies
- Day-to-day shift supervision provided by the Clinical Leader/Charge Nurse
- MOAB or CPI certifications are preferred but not required
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
- Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are subject to a local pay rate
- Travelers may work a maximum of 2 consecutive 13-week assignments before being required to leave the facility for at least 26 weeks before returning
