Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position on a 41-bed inpatient Cardiac Telemetry/Progressive/Respiratory Care unit, requiring ACLS and NIHSS certifications.
Details
- Work on 4B Telemetry, a 41-bed inpatient Cardiac Telemetry/Progressive/Respiratory Care unit located on the fourth floor of a hospital
- Patient population includes medical and surgical patients with cardiac dysrhythmia, respiratory illness, and/or significantly altered hemodynamics requiring cardiac monitoring
- 13-week contract, 36 hours per week
- Night shift, 7P–7A, three 12-hour shifts per week
- Holiday and weekend coverage required
Requirements
- Active, unrestricted KY or Compact RN license
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
- ADN or ASN required; BSN preferred
- Must provide MM/DD of date of birth and last 4 digits of SSN for consideration
Additional Information
- Provide comprehensive, evidence-based nursing care to cardiac telemetry and respiratory patients, incorporating all phases of the nursing process
- Responsibilities include patient assessment, care planning, patient and family education, and facilitation of admission, transfer, and discharge activities
- Delegates tasks appropriately and oversees team members in patient care activities
- Participates in unit-based quality improvement activities including patient satisfaction, fall prevention, pressure ulcer prevention, and CAUTI monitoring
- Previous nursing experience is preferred but not required — first-time travelers are welcome to apply
