Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Emergency Room position requiring a NY RN license, TNCC, and a minimum of 1 year of ER experience for a 4-week night shift assignment.
Details
- Emergency Room department within a community hospital setting
- 12-hour night shifts with a biweekly schedule of approximately 80 hours (alternating weeks of three 12-hour shifts and three 12-hour shifts plus one 8-hour shift)
- Schedule runs Monday through Sunday with a minimum of every other weekend required
- Schedule may be adjusted to meet the needs of the unit and patient care
- Epic EMR experience required
- No block scheduling available for any reason
- 4-week contract
Requirements
- Active NY RN license required; candidates with proof of a pending NY license will be considered
- Current AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC required (TNCC or proof of an applied class date must be included for consideration; NIHSS must be obtained prior to start)
- Preferred certifications: CEN, ENPC, CPEN, ABLS
- Minimum 1 year of Emergency Room RN experience required
- Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years required (non-negotiable)
- At least two professional references from a Nurse Manager and/or Supervisor are required (one from within the past 6 months, one from within the past year of employment)
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
- All employment gaps over 90 days must be explained
- Complete work history including bed count, EMR, and facility type is required

- This position is interview-to-offer (IVS)
- Public transportation is not accessible in this area; a personal or rental vehicle is strongly recommended
- Vehicles should be equipped with all-season or snow tires during the months of November through April
