Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Room RN for a 4-week travel contract requiring active NY licensure, TNCC, and prior ER experience in a facility located in an area without public transportation access.
Details
- Position is in a hospital Emergency Department
- 12-hour evening shifts running 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM
- Schedule runs Monday through Sunday with weekend and holiday requirements
- No on-call responsibilities
- 4-week contract assignment
- Epic EMR is required and experience must be from within the past 2 years
Requirements
- Active NY RN license required; candidates with proof of pending NY license (with applied date) will also be considered — note that NY licensing typically takes 6–8 weeks
- Active certifications required: AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, AHA PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC — TNCC must be active or proof of enrollment in an upcoming class must be provided; NIHSS must be completed prior to start
- Minimum 1 year of Emergency Room RN experience required
- Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years is required and non-negotiable
- Charge nurse experience preferred
- Prior travel nursing experience preferred
- Two professional references from a Nurse Manager and/or Supervisor are required — at least one from within the past 6 months and one from within the past year of employment
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
- Public transportation is not accessible in this area — a personal or rental vehicle is strongly recommended
- Vehicles should be equipped with all-season or snow tires between November and April
- No block scheduling is available for any reason
- All employment gaps of more than 90 days must be explained in the work history
- Complete work history is required, including bed count, EMR system, and facility type for each position listed
