What are the responsibilities and job description for the Channel Marketing Specialist position at American Bath Group?
Channel Marketing Specialist
Bootz / American Standard | American Bath Group
About American Bath Group
American Bath Group is a leading North American manufacturer of bath and shower products serving residential, commercial, wholesale, retail, and professional markets. Through a portfolio of recognized brands, ABG works with customers and channel partners across a broad range of sales and distribution environments.
The Opportunity
We are looking for a hands-on Channel Marketing Specialist to help bring greater structure, consistency, and measurable impact to channel marketing across the Bootz / American Standard business.
This role connects sales, product, marketing, rep agencies, distributors, dealers, wholesalers, retailers, and other commercial partners to ensure marketing programs move from ideas into coordinated marketplace execution.
You will take ownership of channel marketing initiatives from planning through launch and measurement. This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys both the creative and operational sides of marketing - developing strong ideas, building the plan behind them, coordinating the right people and materials, and determining whether the program ultimately created meaningful business results.
What You'll Do
- Plan and execute marketing programs supporting dealers, distributors, wholesalers, retailers, rep agencies, and other channel partners.
- Coordinate marketing activity supporting new product launches, promotions, campaigns, and channel initiatives.
- Build and maintain a forward-looking channel marketing calendar.
- Translate marketing and product ideas into structured programs with defined objectives, timelines, deliverables, stakeholders, and success measures.
- Partner closely with sales teams to develop marketing programs that support commercial priorities.
- Coordinate sales-enablement materials, product information, campaign assets, partner communications, and other channel resources.
- Support digital marketing initiatives, landing pages, social programs, targeted campaigns, and co-branded marketing activities.
- Help improve how Bootz / American Standard products are presented and supported across different sales channels.
- Develop marketing support for rep agencies, distributors, dealers, wholesalers, retailers, and new channel partners.
- Coordinate with product, engineering, manufacturing, digital/web, sales, and external partners to resolve dependencies and keep programs moving.
- Support marketing activities surrounding events and other partner-facing initiatives.
- Track campaign and program performance and identify what is creating meaningful customer or partner engagement.
- Develop reporting that connects marketing activity to outcomes such as inquiries, partner participation, quote activity, opportunities, sales activity, or other commercially meaningful results.
- Identify opportunities to improve channel-marketing processes, visibility, coordination, and execution.
What Success Looks Like
During your first 6-12 months, you will become a key point of ownership for channel-marketing execution across the business. Success will include:
- Becoming a trusted marketing partner to sales and channel stakeholders.
- Taking an active role in product launches and associated marketing execution.
- Creating a more disciplined and forward-looking channel-marketing calendar.
- Successfully managing multiple campaigns, promotions, launches, partner programs, and requests at the same time.
- Improving consistency of marketing support across channel partners.
- Increasing effective use of digital, social, sales-enablement, and partner-marketing assets.
- Launching targeted programs across relevant markets and customer channels.
- Improving the marketplace presentation and support of Bootz / American Standard products.
- Creating clearer visibility into marketing performance.
- Demonstrating how marketing efforts contribute to customer engagement, opportunities, sales activity, or other meaningful commercial outcomes.
- Identifying execution bottlenecks and proactively coordinating the people needed to keep projects on track.
Work Environment
This is a highly collaborative role in a fast-moving, multi-channel environment. You may move between a product launch, an active campaign, a request from a rep agency, sales-enablement needs, a digital initiative, partner communications, and performance reporting within the same week - or the same day.
Many projects will require coordination across people and teams you do not directly manage. You may work with sales, marketing, product, engineering, manufacturing, digital/web resources, external agencies, and channel partners to get the information and support needed to keep initiatives moving.
Some processes and marketing infrastructure are already in place, while others continue to evolve. The right person will be comfortable working within existing tools while also helping create greater structure and consistency where needed.
What We're Looking For
- We are looking for someone who combines channel-marketing knowledge, project execution, commercial thinking, and strong ownership.
- Experience supporting distributors, dealers, representative networks, wholesale, retail, or another comparable multi-channel commercial environment.
- Experience personally managing marketing programs or campaigns from planning through execution and measurement.
- Strong project-management and organizational skills.
- Experience managing multiple campaigns, launches, projects, or competing priorities simultaneously.
- Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with sales or other commercial teams.
- American Bath Group | Market-Facing Role Specification
- Strong cross-functional communication skills.
- Ability to influence and coordinate stakeholders without relying on formal authority.
- Ability to turn loosely defined marketing ideas into clear, executable plans.
- Comfort interpreting marketing and commercial performance data.
- Ability to look beyond activity metrics and understand what marketing efforts are producing for customers, partners, and the business.
- A self-directed and accountable working style.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Background
Experience in bath or shower products, plumbing, building products, construction products, manufactured or engineered products, or another distribution-driven product environment would be especially valuable.
Experience with tools such as HubSpot, Salesforce or another CRM, Smartsheet, project-management platforms, digital-marketing tools, or campaign-performance reporting platforms is also beneficial. Technical or engineering exposure combined with commercial or marketing experience may be especially valuable for this role, but is not required.
Why Join American Bath Group
This role offers the opportunity to have visible impact across a broad commercial network rather than owning only one small piece of the marketing process. You will have the opportunity to:
- Take meaningful ownership of channel-marketing execution.
- Work closely with sales, product, marketing, and commercial partners.
- Help shape how channel-marketing programs operate and grow.
- Build programs from concept through marketplace execution.
- See the connection between your work and real customer and commercial outcomes.
- Help create greater structure, visibility, and consistency across an evolving marketing capability.
- Contribute to the growth and marketplace presence of established American Bath Group brands.
This is a strong opportunity for a marketer who enjoys both building and doing - someone who wants the freedom to develop ideas and the responsibility for making sure those ideas actually get executed.
