We are seeking a detail-oriented contractor to support Mass Market Operations in a Government Aggregation (Gov Agg) Quality Control role. This position is responsible for reviewing and validating accounts, contracts, and enrollments to ensure accuracy and alignment with utility and regulatory requirements.
This is a high-impact role requiring strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work within regulated retail energy market processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform quality control reviews of accounts, contracts, and enrollments to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Validate data alignment with utility requirements and regulatory standards
- Identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies before impacting enrollment, billing, or customer experience
- Review high-volume transactions including deal setup and exception handling
- Analyze data across multiple systems to ensure records are consistent, complete, and audit-ready
- Partner with internal teams and utilities to resolve issues and move work forward efficiently
- Maintain clear documentation of issues, findings, and resolutions
- Lead a weekly stand-up meeting with business stakeholders
- Present Gov Agg performance metrics
- Highlight trends, risks, and key issues
- Support continuous process improvement through data-driven insights
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Retail energy industry experience (required)
- Experience working with Government Aggregation programs (preferred)
- Strong proficiency in Excel, including:
- VLOOKUP / XLOOKUP
- Pivot Tables
- Data analysis on large datasets
- Working knowledge of SQL (not developer-level):
- Ability to write queries
- Analyze datasets and identify trends
- Experience working with account, contract, and enrollment data
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage high-volume workload and multiple priorities
- Strong communication skills with confidence presenting to cross-functional stakeholders
- Ability to work independently while collaborating across teams
Preferred Skills
- Experience supporting regulated market operations and utility interactions
- Background in quality control, audit, or data validation functions
- Experience managing exceptions and reconciliation processes
