Alliance Resource Group has partnered with a boutique investment firm (~$20B AUM) that is seeking to add a Senior Fund Accountant to their team.
This opening is due to continued growth, and the firm offers strong long-term career development. The position reports directly to the Head of Accounting & Finance, a supportive leader known for mentorship and maintaining a team with very low turnover.
What makes this role unique is the combination of responsibilities: while core fund accounting and financial reporting are central, the Senior Fund Accountant will also gain exposure to investment decision-making—participating in discussions around whether to pursue certain investments and how capital is best deployed.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for investment funds in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
- Maintain general ledgers, journal entries, and supporting workpapers.
- Ensure accuracy of capital calls, distributions, allocations, and carried interest calculations.
- Monitor management fees, performance fees, and expense allocations.
- Assist in preparing investor reporting packages, capital account statements, and ad hoc analyses.
- Support responses to investor inquiries regarding fund performance, allocations, and statements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA or progress toward CPA preferred.
- 2–4 years of relevant experience, ideally with Big 4 audit experience auditing private equity, fund to funds, hedge fund and/or VC clients
Salary : $100,000 - $140,000
