Accounting Manager – Prominent Family Office | Santa Monica
Alliance Resource Group has partnered with a prominent family office in Santa Monica to hire their Accounting Manager due to continued year-over-year growth.
This is an exciting opportunity to join at the ground floor as the office builds out its team and infrastructure. You’ll work closely with highly pedigreed and experienced family office executives, gaining long-term exposure across investment analysis, estate and tax planning, and traditional accounting functions.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly reconciliations and analyses of bank, brokerage, and intercompany accounts; assist with establishing and maintaining such accounts in coordination with external bankers and accountants.
- Review and process invoices for payment in compliance with internal controls across multiple entities and accounts.
- Review and process employee expense reports, ensuring adherence to company policy and verification of receipts.
- Identify opportunities to streamline accounts payable processes and recommend or implement improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
- Prepare journal entries and assist with month-end close processes for various general ledger accounts across multiple entities.
- Collaborate with the finance team to produce financial reports and investment performance packages for management.
- Provide ad hoc reporting and analytical support for financial analysis and special projects.
- Partner with the investment team to gather up-to-date information on private investments and offer general support as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally a mix of public accounting and in-house experience within a family office, RIA, or financial services firm.
- CPA preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive, team-oriented mindset.
Salary : $130,000 - $180,000
