Overview:
As a Lab - Phlebotomist, you will be the friendly face patients see when they visit a leading clinical setting for routine blood work or health assessments. Your expertise in specimen collection ensures accurate lab results that are critical to diagnosis and treatment. Responsibilities:

Draw high-quality blood samples from patients of all ages, including pediatric and geriatric populations, following standardized procedures.

Prepare and label specimens accurately, ensuring proper handling for lab testing.

Explain procedures to patients clearly to create a comfortable, trusting atmosphere.

Maintain precise records and documentation of all collections and related activities.

Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.

Collaborate with healthcare team members and support leadership directives to uphold process excellence.

Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and professional workspace at all times.

Be responsive to staffing needs, which may include working weekends, holidays, on-call shifts, or overtime as required.

Required Skills:

Proven proficiency in phlebotomy, with experience drawing blood from diverse patient populations.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to error-free work.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to foster trust with patients.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Competent keyboard and data entry skills to document procedures accurately.

Experience working in fast-paced environments with high accuracy requirements.

Basic knowledge of safety and infection control standards.

Phlebotomy certification is preferred; in certain states, it is required.

Medical assistant or paramedic training background is advantageous.

Nice to Have Skills:

Customer service experience in retail or service settings, demonstrating a compassionate approach.

Experience with pediatric and geriatric specimen collection.

Prior work with electronic health records or laboratory information systems.

Preferred Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Minimum of 6 months of phlebotomy experience, with 1 years preferred.

Certification in phlebotomy is highly encouraged, especially in states where mandated.

Previous experience in clinical or laboratory settings is a plus.

Other Requirements:

Flexibility to work across various shifts, including weekends, holidays, and on-call hours.

Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks related to specimen collection.
