Required Skills:
Proven proficiency in phlebotomy, including pediatric and geriatric vein collection, with a minimum of 6 months of recent experience.
Excellent patient communication skills, with the ability to create a comforting environment.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
proficiency in keyboard/data entry and familiarity with electronic health records or lab information systems.
Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed.
Certification in phlebotomy preferred (required in some states such as California, Nevada, and Washington).
Nice to Have Skills:
Medical assistant or paramedic training.
Customer service experience in retail or service sectors.
Knowledge of laboratory protocols and specimen processing standards.
Preferred Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum of 6 months of hands-on phlebotomy experience; one or more years preferred.
