Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Phlebotomist to join a respected healthcare facility committed to excellence in patient care. In this vital role, you will be the face of the organization, confidently collecting blood specimens, preparing labs, and supporting clinical operations. Responsibilities:

Draw high-quality blood samples from patients across all age groups, including pediatric and geriatric populations, ensuring patient comfort and safety.

Prepare collected specimens for laboratory testing according to established procedures, maintaining specimen integrity and proper handling.

Explain procedures clearly and compassionately to patients, fostering trust and reducing anxiety.

Maintain accurate documentation of all specimen collections and associated records, ensuring compliance with confidentiality standards.

Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment.

Follow all policies and procedures related to specimen collection, processing, and documentation.

Collaborate with clinical team members to ensure efficient workflow and excellent patient service.

Demonstrate leadership behaviors, process excellence, and a commitment to continuous improvement in daily activities.

Support a positive, professional atmosphere that promotes trust and confidence among patients and staff.

Required Skills:

Proven proficiency in phlebotomy, including pediatric and geriatric vein collection, with a minimum of 6 months of recent experience.

Excellent patient communication skills, with the ability to create a comforting environment.

Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.

Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced setting.

proficiency in keyboard/data entry and familiarity with electronic health records or lab information systems.

Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed.

Certification in phlebotomy preferred (required in some states such as California, Nevada, and Washington).

Nice to Have Skills:

Medical assistant or paramedic training.

Customer service experience in retail or service sectors.

Knowledge of laboratory protocols and specimen processing standards.

Preferred Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Minimum of 6 months of hands-on phlebotomy experience; one or more years preferred.

Experience working with electronic medical records or lab systems.

Other Requirements:

Valid phlebotomy certification preferred (especially in certain states).

Ability to lift and transport specimens and equipment up to a specified weight.

Reliable attendance with flexibility to adjust schedules based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts.

Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to safety standards.
