What You’ll Do:
Draw blood samples from a diverse patient population, including pediatric and geriatric patients, with skill and compassion.
Prepare specimens for laboratory testing, ensuring all samples are properly labeled, documented, and handled according to established protocols.
Explain procedures to patients to create a comfortable environment, building trust and confidence during every interaction.
Maintain strict adherence to safety, confidentiality, and quality standards to protect patient information and specimen integrity.
Record and document all procedures accurately in accordance with facility policies.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals and team members to ensure smooth workflow and exceptional patient care.

Required Skills:
Minimum of 6 months of phlebotomy experience in a clinical, hospital, or lab setting.
Demonstrated proficiency in venipuncture and capillary blood collection techniques.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and empathetically.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail for accurate specimen documentation.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
Keyboard and data entry skills for accurate record keeping.
Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
Ability to prioritize tasks efficiently while maintaining a high standard of care.
Nice to Have Skills:
Medical assistant or paramedic training.
Phlebotomy certification (required in CA, NV, WA).
Experience working in retail or service environments with a focus on patient or customer interaction.
Familiarity with laboratory information systems and electronic health records.
Preferred Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Relevant medical training or certification.
Over one year of phlebotomy experience in a clinical setting.
Other Requirements:
Availability to work flexible schedules, including weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts.
Valid phlebotomy certification (where required) and current licensure.
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks related to phlebotomy.
