Industrial Quotation Specialist – Costing & Estimating

Where: Milford, CT | Reports to: Vice President of Engineering

What you'll do

• Build comprehensive estimates for materials, labor, and manufacturing processes based on customer requirements.
• Use historical data and cross-functional input to refine assumptions and improve precision.
• Analyze prints/specs to support engineering with clear, data-driven insights.
• Partner with project managers, engineers, and customer service to confirm budgets and scope.
• Maintain and update the cost database for materials, labor rates, and equipment.
• Assist with proposal development, track project budgets, and align to corporate goals.
• Recommend cost reductions and highlight risks with mitigation options.
• Support other tasks as directed by the VP of Engineering.
  
  

What you'll bring

• Detail-oriented analytical skills and comfort with numbers.
• Foundational knowledge of manufacturing processes and estimating preferred.
• Strong organization and time management.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications.
• ERP familiarity; SyteLine experience is a plus.
• Effective communicator and team collaborator.
  
  

Education

Associate’s Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or related field is preferred. Equivalent experience in estimating or manufacturing is welcome.

Role logistics

• Environment: Office and manufacturing settings.
• Physical Demands: Sitting; occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
• Hours: Full-time, Monday–Friday; occasional overtime.
• Travel: Minimal local travel.
