Sr. Data Modeler - contract

The Alexander Technology Group is searching for a Sr. Data Modeler to join an investment management firm for a contract opportunity in Boston MA. Our client is searching for an experience data professional who will work cross-functionally with stakeholders and help design, implement data model for Analytical, operational and transactional solutions. The Role

• Work with Architects, Engineers, Analysts and product owners, to design and manage the structure of an organization's data systems to optimize data storage, accessibility, and usability
• Develop data modeling standards, for analytical, operational and transactions databases
• Create data models for analytical, operational and transactional solutions
• Provide data modeling guidance and coaching to developers and engineer
• Work with data governance teams for data policies, lineage and cataloging
• Document and maintain data modeling artifacts
  
  

Experience

• 5 years of hands-on relational, dimensional, and/or analytic experience
• Strong SQL knowledge
• Experience working with PostgreSQL or Snowflake
• Experience with modeling tools required
• Direct experience with data modelling standards and guidelines
• Strong hands-on data modeling, ER diagram and enterprise software design experience for OLTP (relational) and analytical systems
• Proficiency with data catalog and data lineage toolset (E.g. Alation, Collibra)
• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer/data science
