What are the responsibilities and job description for the Data Modeler position at Deegit Inc?
Job Description
- Possess extensive experience with PL-SQL
- Experience working with MS SQL Server, Oracle and other RDBMS and tools like SQL Navigator, TOAD etc.
- Work with the Application Development team to implement data strategies, build data flows and develop conceptual data models.
- Create logical and physical data models using best practices to ensure high data quality and reduced redundancy.
- Through understanding of data warehouse concepts
- Optimize and update logical and physical data models to support new and existing projects.
- Maintain conceptual, logical and physical data models along with corresponding metadata.
- Sound knowledge of traditional as well as agile software development methodologies
- Strong knowledge of systems and software development lifecycles; application integration techniques; and relational database design
- Possess good understanding of database performance tuning techniques. Able to use explain plan, hints, access paths etc.
- Hands-on experience in Unix shell scripting.
- Excellent skill in communicating orally and in writing with people
