Engineering Manager

Alexander Technology Group is partnering with an AI-driven company looking to hire an Engineering Manager.

About The Role

We’re seeking a hands-on technical leader to architect systems and write production code.

This player-coach role in a ~15-person company will:

• Lead a small, high-performing engineering team
• Own technical decisions
• Drive product and business impact
  
  

You’ll operate in a high-ownership, resource-constrained environment with meaningful ambiguity.

What You’ll Do

• Lead 5–6 engineers across full-stack, data, and QA
• Write and ship production code
• Own architecture and technical direction
• Deliver key initiatives (V2 platform, AI features)
• Partner cross-functionally and communicate with stakeholders and clients
• Manage offshore teams and ensure delivery quality
• Hire, mentor, and scale the team
  
  

What You Bring

• 8–10 years engineering experience; 2–3 in leadership
• Proven ability to ship and scale data-intensive or SaaS platforms
• Strong understanding of data, analytics, and AI/ML applications
• Startup experience and comfort with ambiguity
• Experience managing onshore/offshore teams
  
  

Tech Stack: Kotlin, Spring Boot, Python, React, TypeScript, SQL, Snowflake/BigQuery, AWS/GCP, ETL pipelines, AI/ML tools

Leadership: Hands-on, low ego, strong communicator, able to translate business needs into technical solutions and lead by example
