What are the responsibilities and job description for the Desktop Support Technician position at Alexander Technology Group?
We’re partnering with a client in Dover, NH to bring on a Desktop Support Technician to support a growing end-user environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys troubleshooting complex technical issues, working directly with users, and taking ownership of escalated support tickets.
What You’ll Do:
- Provide support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and OS issues (Windows environment)
- Support user account management (Active Directory, password resets, permissions)
- Assist with device imaging, deployments, and system upgrades
- Maintain documentation and contribute to process improvements
- Collaborate with infrastructure and application teams as needed
What We’re Looking For:
- 2 years of desktop / end-user support experience
- Strong troubleshooting skills across Windows OS and Microsoft 365
- Experience with Active Directory and ticketing systems
- Familiarity with networking basics (DNS, DHCP, VPN)
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
Nice to Have:
- Experience with endpoint management tools (Intune, SCCM)
- Exposure to security best practices or tools
- CompTIA A or similar certifications
Salary : $50,000 - $70,000
