Akkodis is seeking a for a Sr Advanced Test Engineer- ITAR at Location: Phoenix, AZ for a contract Duration: 06 Months initially.
Pay Range: $55/h- $65/h; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors

Role Overview
We are seeking experienced subcontractors to support a high-visibility aerospace project. The role involves performing DO-160 qualification testing and Validation & Verification (V&V) testing of advanced electronic hardware. Candidates should have a strong background in hardware testing and documentation, with a focus on avionics systems.
You will collaborate with a team of highly skilled engineers to develop and sustain state-of-the-art avionics products. Your work will directly contribute to product certification and compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute Environmental and EMI Qualification tests on avionics hardware.
- Prepare detailed test reports to support regulatory compliance.
- Assist in product certification for customer and regulatory acceptance (e.g., FAA).
- Identify and communicate non-compliance incidents to relevant stakeholders.
- Utilize computer-assisted engineering and design tools to support testing activities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 6 years of experience in Hardware/Product Engineering.
- Hands-on experience with Environmental and/or EMI testing for avionics product qualification.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with product qualification guidance standards (DO-160, MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-810).
- Basic knowledge of electronic display principles.
- Understanding of hardware engineering standards and specifications.
- Experience with hardware verification testing.
- Exposure to optical testing/evaluation instrumentation for electronic display characterization.
- Ability to apply engineering techniques to optimize product design and processes.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
