Akkodis is seeking a Mainframe developer for a Contract with a client in Columbus, OH(Remote). The candidate will develop and enhance mainframe applications while supporting DB2‑based components and ensuring reliable system performance.
Rate Range: 45/hour to $49/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Mainframe Developer Job Responsibilities Include
Pay Details: $45.00 to $49.00 per hour

Mainframe Developer Job Responsibilities Include
- Develop and enhance mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, and DB2 to support core business functions.
- Analyze, modify, and optimize DB2‑based application components for improved performance and reliability.
- Troubleshoot production issues by identifying defects, debugging mainframe jobs, and implementing effective fixes.
- Execute unit testing, integration testing, and validation of mainframe modules to ensure high‑quality delivery.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical mainframe solutions.
- Maintain batch processes, stored procedures, and application logic while ensuring adherence to coding and performance standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
- 6–8 years of experience in mainframe application development and DB2 programming.
- Strong hands‑on expertise in Mainframe development, including COBOL, JCL, and DB2 application components.
- Proven ability to analyze, modify, and troubleshoot mainframe applications and batch processes in production environments.
