Qualifications/Requirements
Serves as a technical advisor to the Cyber Resiliency Office for Weapon Systems (CROWS) on cyber resiliency. We are seeking candidates that qualify for NH-0801-04 (General Engineering) or NH-1550-04 (Computer Science) job series. The technical advisor collaborates with CROWS stakeholders and CROWS teams to establish and align CROWS technical priorities and activities on challenging and highly complex weapon systems' cyber resiliency, vulnerability identification, and mitigations projects. The incumbent will formulate CROWS technical strategies to acquire cyber-resilient solutions and guide allocation of CROWS resources, lead and manage Federally Funded Research and Development Center work, make technical recommendations about proposals requesting CROWS resources, develop and maintain knowledge management of CROWS products, develop others through guidance and sharing expertise, and assume and assign owner of processes and products as appropriate. This position requires in-depth knowledge of a wide range of advanced multi-disciplinary engineering and cyber concepts, practices, and systems engineering needed to achieve cyber resiliency in weapon systems and an ability to represent CROWS to stakeholders and other interested organizations.

- Experience with Cyber processes, Risk Management Framework (RMF), Assess and Authorize (A&A)
- Program Office Weapon System system security engineering experience
- Technical Reviews/assessments (ITRA, Airworthiness, vulnerability, threat, risk)
- CISM, CISSP, CSSLP, other cyber certifications
- Active security clearance
- Experience with DoW/USAF Acquisitions programs
- Credentials in Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
- Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Engineering from a school with a program accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) [0801, General Engineering]. or Bachelor's degree with at least 30 semester hours in a combination of mathematics, statistics, and computer science. At least 15 of these hours must be in mathematics and statistics, including differential and integral calculus. [1550, Computer Science]
- Demonstrated experience across all phases of the weapon system life-cycle, from development and acquisition to sustainment and disposal.
- Proven expertise in developing and applying systems security engineering policies, procedures, and assessments, with a strong focus on the cyber resiliency of weapon systems.
- Exceptional skill in communicating highly technical and classified information to non-technical senior leaders and General Officers to drive informed decision-making.
- In-depth knowledge of cyber issues and the ability to conduct thorough assessments to identify and mitigate risks.
- Experience providing expert guidance to teams on systems engineering, systems security, and cyber/SSE related matters.
- Strong analytical skills to diagnose and resolve complex programmatic or technical issues, from initial discovery to final resolution.
- Experience with software development, software project management
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
