The primary purpose of this position is To provide an expert Information Protection (IP) functional lead to supervise and manage the information protection functional disciplines for the 67TH Cyberspace Wing (67CW) with responsibility for developing and implementing plans, policies and procedures. Provides acquisition, information, physical and personnel security program functions and supports the overall mission of the organizations. Manages all sensitive compartmented information (SCI), special access program (SAP) and collateral security management functions.

- Position is designated special-sensitive and requires eligibility for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), other intelligence-related Special Sensitive information, or involvement in Top Secret Special Access Programs (SAP) to fully perform the duties and responsibilities of the position. A non-disclosure agreement must be signed.
- Drug Testing: This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Testing Program. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing. Illegal drug use by employees in sensitive positions presents a clear threat to the mission of the Air Force, national security, and public safety.
- The employee may be required to travel in military and/or commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty assignments.
- Determines current and future supply requirements. Receives and analyzes reported usage, past program, reported users, and other applicable material to accurately determine and project requirements and demand quantities. Monitors and evaluates usage transactions and fluctuations.
- Department of Defense Security Fundamentals Professional Certification, Security Asset Protection Professional Certification, and Physical security Certification conferrals are required within 2 years of the established employee EOD or initial assignment date to this position in accordance with DOD 3305.13-M, DoD Security Accreditation and Certification. The listed certification requirements may not be deleted or modified without the written approval of the AF Security Functional Authority (SAF/AA) or their delegated security career field representative.
- Mastery of Acquisition Security, traditional Information Protection disciplines, Special Access Program Security, Anti-tamper, certification and accreditation of embedded systems principles and practices to plan and implement security programs in these areas.
- Ability to plan, organize and direct the functions and staff of a small to medium sized organization.
- Knowledge of engineering, contracting, logistics and other functional concepts, programs, procedures, and practices.
- Skill in the use of analytical principles, practices, and techniques to review, evaluate, and apply several alternatives according to the security requirements for highly specific situations, availability of materials relationships with other protective programs, and cost/benefit considerations.
- Ability to communicate orally and in writing, clearly, concisely, and accurately.
- Ability to establish effective professional working relationships with coworkers and customers, contributing to a cooperative working environment and successful accomplishment of the mission.
