This position is a Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS) position aligned under authorities of Section 1601, Chapter 83 of Title 10, United States Code and DoD Instruction 1400.25-V2007.

• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret Security Clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
• A non-disclosure agreement must be signed
• This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Testing Program. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing. Illegal drug use by employees in sensitive positions presents a clear threat to the mission of the Air Force, national security, and public safety.
• DAWIA CERTIFICATION: This position is Acquisition Category L - Life Cycle Logistics Level III and incumbent must meet appropriate certification requirements IAW the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) no later than 24 months after accepting this position.
• FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT STATEMENT: Incumbent is required to file an OGE Form 450, Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, upon appointment and will be required to file annually.
  
  

As the Chief of Air & Ground COMSEC Logistics Section and serve as the overall Life Cycle Logistics (LCL) Product Support Manager (PSM) overseeing and managing the development and implementation of all Air & Ground COMSEC Program product (weapon system) support strategy and single point of contact throughout the system's life cycle for a major defense acquisition program (ACAT I-MDAP), a major weapon (ACAT II),, or Milestone Decision Authority (MDA) designated as (ACAT I, ACAT II, ACAT III) a special interest program.

The incumbent will report directly to the Director of Logistics and is accountable for all product support matters regarding cost, schedule, performance, and supportability for a program/program segment of national significance. Also responsible for overseeing the Warehouse, Supply Chain, Transportation and Packaging of COMSEC equipment.

The organizational goals or objectives of this position are to provide total life cycle systems product support planning and management necessary to meet strategic goals, objectives, performance, and policy requirements set by FY10 NDAA law, DoD, and Air Force Policy. Plans, organizes and administers the Program Manager's (PM) and Program Executive Office's (PEO) Life Cycle Logistics efforts and oversees activities of assign program and project teams.

• Knowledge of the logistics management principles, concepts, policies, and laws; logistics functions, programs, and systems applicable to the duties of position; sources, responsibilities, and means for providing assistance and advice to resolve logistics problems; and all aspects of life cycle integrated logistics support.
• Warehouse, Supply Chain, Transportation and Packaging experience of COMSEC equipment strongly desired.
• Knowledge of safety, security, personnel management, and EEO regulations, practices, and procedures.
• Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions and mentor, motivate, and appraise the staff of an organization through subordinate supervisors.
• Knowledge of Air Force Strategic Operations for the 21st century (AFSO 21) principles to identify problems and generate innovative solutions.
• Skill in stratifying resources against approved programs; planning, presenting, and executing budgets; analyzing budget impacts on programs; forecasting long-term funding requirements; reviewing, evaluating, and presenting data; and supporting analysis of logistics management programs and activities specialized documentation, etc. You will be evaluated for this job based on how well you meet the qualifications above.
