This position provides support for the modernization of the ground-based leg of America’s nuclear deterrence program.
Duties
- Position serves as the Program Management Specialist to support warhead PDRAAG and DRAAG for modernization and future warheads ICBM warheads including W87-1, WXX, and FSLW warheads.
- Provides programmatic and administrative support to PDRAAG/DRAAG chair and secretary to ensure complete and accurate communication between working level, senior leadership, and executive (Senior Executive Service (SES) and General Officer (GO)) leadership.
- Schedules and prepares multi-organization decision briefs.
- Prepares read-ahead materials, smart books, and programmatic briefs that clearly communicate program verification decision points.
- Coordinates meetings to include managing clearances and Visit Requests (VRs) to ensure access requests are in place to attend and participate in meetings.
- Captures areas of risk and document and coordinate mitigation plans.
- Supports communication between PDRAAG/DRAAG Chair, secretariate, PDRAAG/DRAAG advisors, and subgroup chairs to drive consensus for recommendation to DRAAG Chair.
- Preference is given to candidates with extensive experience coordinating SES and GO level communications and schedules.
- Performs activities related to the messaging and management of cost, schedule, risk, and resource optimization.
- Performs special projects in support of the Warheads Division to answer questions and provide data to satisfy requests from higher Air Force and Congressional oversight.
- At least three years’ experience with acquisition, design, development, operation and/or life cycle sustainment of a product/system with complex technical and management challenges is typically required.
- Experience managing and executing events at the SES and GO level.
- Managing projects, to include gathering stakeholder detailed requirements and working with contractors to ensure successful outcomes.
- Experience in multi-functional, dynamic teams with diverse stakeholders is highly desired.
- Refined communication and teamwork skills sufficient to effectively interface with internal and external stakeholders at all levels, as well as independence, assertiveness, self-reliance, integrity, and tenacity to get the job done, is highly desired.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a dynamic environment is a plus.
- Familiarity with, and willingness, to learn tools such as Jira, Confluence, and MS Project for project tracking and management is desired.
- Experience working in a classified environment is highly desired.
- U.S. CITIZENSHIP
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI security clearance and required to handle and safeguard sensitive and/or classified information in accordance with regulations to reduce potential compromise.
- This position is designated as a drug testing position. The incumbent is subjected to pre-employment drug testing as a condition of employment, and participation in random drug testing thereafter.
- In accordance with the Ethics in Government Act, 1978, employee may be required to file an OGE Form 450, Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, upon appointment and will be required to file annually.
- Travel away from the duty station may be required up to 25% of the time.
Salary : $89,508 - $138,370
