The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the Malmstrom operating location (OL) Lead Engineer for MlLCON, Systems Engineering, and Integration for the T&I Branch which is co-located with the AFGSC Sentinel Task Force (DET 11).
The T&I Branch manages the site-level activities and leads coordination with its external partners and stakeholders, including the Air Force Global Strike Command (AFGSC), the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), and private contractors. Its comprehensive responsibilities include managing all environmental and socioeconomic impacts in strict accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA); directing all strategic real estate activities, including land acquisition for Sentinel and the disposition of decommissioned MMIII assets; and overseeing the military construction (MILCON) lifecycle, from the deconstruction and environmental remediation of legacy facilities to the ground-up construction of all new Sentinel infrastructure.

DUTIES:
- Guides and leads a diverse team of government employees, government support contractors, and other stakeholders in developing, integrating, and implementing technical solutions to diverse, highly complex problems, promoting teamwork, and solving broad organizational issues to ensure technically rigorous, flexible, and low-risk capabilities are available to meet program milestones and events.
- Provides leadership and technical guidance on systems engineering artifacts (requirements and architecture), establishes modeling standards/approaches, and defines and oversees governance and development activities.
- Leads conceptual planning, design, and integration for legacy facility decommissioning, environmental remediation, and ground-up construction.
- Evaluates contractor work products, review infrastructure designs, and participate in technical design review boards.
- Mentors team members on systems engineering methodologies and how environmental, land use, and utility constraints impact facility integration.
- Coordinates with geographically dispersed stakeholders, regulatory bodies, and enterprise partners to align construction execution with environmental impact studies.
- Experience with large-scale projects that includes evaluating risks for a complex, multimillion dollar program. This typically equates to at least 7-10 years of relevant systems engineering experience.
- Strong technical skills in engineering sufficient to serve as a senior subject matter expert who can identify technical gaps and deficiencies in teamwork products (e.g. requirements, architecture, documentation). Plans team activities and develops plans of action and milestones/schedules to meet higher-level schedule events.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills to guide team members, including the ability to translate complex engineering concepts into actionable guidance to achieve program milestones and mission success.

- Experience integrating physical facility infrastructure with complex digital, industrial, or enterprise system architectures.
- Experience with systems modeling platforms or advanced capital project planning tools.
- Broad engineering experience in civil, structural, mechanical, or systems engineering, including environmental remediation and land acquisition.
- Experience coordinating project efforts across regulatory agencies, general contractors, and corporate leadership.
- U.S. CITIZENSHIP
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance and will be required to handle and safeguard sensitive and/or classified information in accordance with regulations to reduce potential compromise.
- In accordance with the Ethics in Government Act, 1978, employee may be required to file an OGE Form 450, Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, upon appointment and will be required to file annually.

Salary : $125,776 - $192,331
