The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is looking for full-time Supervisory Contract Specialist (GS-1102-13) to work at Nellis AFB, NV.
The 99th Contracting Squadron located at Nellis AFB, NV is interested in candidates to fill a GS-13 supervisory contract specialist position. As a federal supervisory contracting professional, you will be responsible for leading and training a team that will manage a variety of procurements focused on commodities, services, and construction. The workplace is dynamic with customers that depend on the skills and knowledge of the contract specialist.
Salary with locality: $108,719 - $141,337
Employment Type: Permanent position
Work Type: No telework or remote work
Travel: Up to 25%

Qualifications
- US citizenship is required.
- Serves as a warranted contracting officer and completes required forms in accordance with the provisions of the Federal Procurement Policy Act (41 USC423).
- The position requires the employee to occasionally travel away from the duty station. The employee must be willing to travel on military and commercial aircraft.
- The employee must meet the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) requirements applicable to the duties of the position.
- Incumbent is required to complete “Public Financial Disclosure Report” pursuant to Title I of the Ethics in Government Act of 1978, as amended (The “Act”), 5 USC App 101 EtSeq.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
- Knowledge of the full range of federal contracting laws, regulations, policies, practices, methods, and contract types.
- Knowledge of a wide range of business practices and market conditions applicable to program and technical requirements.
- Skill in fact-finding, contract analysis and pricing techniques, problem resolution, and development of concrete action plans to solve problems.
- Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions and staff of a moderate sized organization.
- No specific degree is required, but candidates must have at least a Master's degree.
