The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a primary member to manage the installation's Emergency Management Program. Serves as technical lead of the Installation Emergency Planning and Preparedness Team (EP2T) and Emergency Management Working Group (EMWG), within the Mission Assurance construct, ensuring constant coordination with all critical working group missions, i.e., threat, force protection, exercise evaluation, counter-proliferation and works all matters in response to the Emergency Management (EM) Program. Incumbent will ensure and maintain a disaster response posture that will enable effective response to disasters and allow for mission capability. Requirements: - Designated drug testing position - Obtain & maintain a security clearance - May be required to travel to perform temporary duty - Member will function in accordance with National Response Framework (NRF), National Disaster Recovery Framework (NDRF), Homeland Security Presidential Directives (HSPDs), NIMS, DSCA, DoW/DoD, DAF, consequence management (CM), Standard Operating Guides (SOG), and Air Force Material Management System policy and procedures. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA): 1. Knowledge of wide range of health, safety, security directives, and environmental requirements as outlined in applicable safety standards, regulations, and/or technical orders; NDRF plan organization, chain of command/lines of authority, and installation response roles and responsibilities; and natural disaster response procedures, training techniques, and use of specialized EM and CBRN equipment. 2. Knowledge of National Response Framework (NRF), National Disaster Recovery Framework (NDRF), Homeland Security Presidential Directives (HSPDs), NIMS, DSCA, DoW/DoD, DAF, consequence management (CM), and Air Force Material Management System policy and procedures. 3. Knowledge of and ability to develop EM training programs and conduct training and testing. 4. Knowledge of EM, CBRN, and hazardous materials to develop, coordinate, and execute response plans and operations. 5. Skill in analyzing situations and taking appropriate emergency action. 6. Ability to make instant decisions and select a course of action under high stress conditions associated with emergency situations. 7. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing to prepare and present briefings, coordinate planning efforts and manage program activities. 8. Knowledge of the capabilities, limitations, and employment concepts for CBRN and conventional defense, detection, protective clothing/equipment, communications equipment, and decontamination.
