- Knowledge of commercial and industrial HVAC/R systems, refrigeration principles, and the refrigeration cycle.
- Ability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain heating boilers, power heating systems, and associated mechanical components.
- Skill using gauges, multimeters, diagnostic tools, and standard HVAC/R hand and power tools.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Experience dismantling, repairing, and reassembling compressors, pumps, chillers, evaporators, and related components.
- Universal EPA CFC/NCFC certification.
- Valid state driver’s license.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs, work in confined spaces, and perform duties on ladders or elevated areas.
- Willingness to work shifts, overtime, recall, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Ability to train and guide junior personnel.
- Ability to discern colors, contrast, and depth for safe and accurate system work.
