About the Job/Qualifications
- Experience with commercial flooring, carpeting, drywall, or related construction products is preferred.
- Prepare accurate and competitive bids, takeoffs, proposals, and estimates for commercial construction projects using project plans, blueprints, historical data, and supplier pricing.
- Manage projects from pre-construction and bidding through completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and profitably.
- Review blueprints, specifications, contract documents, RFIs, change orders, and project requirements to identify material, labor, and equipment needs.
- Coordinate with General Contractors, suppliers, customers, superintendents, and field personnel to maintain strong working relationships and ensure smooth project execution.
- Manage material procurement, quantities, deliveries, and scheduling to ensure required materials are available at the jobsite when needed.
- Monitor project costs, production rates, schedules, and manpower requirements while identifying risks, delays, and potential cost overruns.
- Prepare and follow up on bids, negotiate project changes, track additional costs, and assist in securing timely payment for completed work.
- Utilize Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook, On-Screen Takeoff, and Quick Bid;
