Accounting Specialist
We are seeking an experienced Accounting Specialist to join a fast-paced accounting team in Pueblo, CO. This full-time, on-site position will handle client bookkeeping, payroll, reconciliations, invoicing, deposits, and financial recordkeeping while maintaining accuracy, confidentiality, and excellent client service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage client accounting and bookkeeping activities from transaction entry through financial reporting.
- Process and maintain payroll and quarterly payroll tax returns.
- Work with QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online to enter transactions, reconcile accounts, maintain chart of accounts, billing, invoicing, and deposits.
- Set up and maintain payroll accounts using Intuit Payroll and QuickBooks.
- Review and maintain accurate financial records, including P&L and balance sheet information.
- Communicate professionally with clients and resolve accounting or payroll-related questions.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and comply with company policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- 4 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience.
- 5 years of QuickBooks experience preferred/required.
- Payroll and quarterly tax experience strongly preferred.
- Experience with QuickBooks Desktop/QBO, Intuit Payroll, and Excel.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, organization, and time management.
- Ability to multitask, work independently, and manage deadlines without close supervision.
- Professional, dependable, trustworthy, and strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Associate degree in Accounting or a related field preferred.
- Ability to pass a background check and sign an NDA/confidentiality agreement.
- Ability to work full-time, Monday–Friday, on-site in Pueblo, CO.
Salary : $32,000 - $55,000
