Senior Accountant (Temp)
Location: Boulder, CO
This is a contract-to-hire position in-office position based in Boulder, CO.
Pay: $48-58/hr (DOE)

About The Role
We are seeking a Senior Accountant with 6 years of progressive accounting experience to support the finance function across all three companies, reporting to the Interim Director of Finance and the CEO. This is a hands-on role for someone who can run day-to-day accounting largely independently within a small team, with the opportunity to grow into a permanent Director of Finance role for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting across three affiliated companies, including:
- Accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP)
- Payroll processing
- Bank reconciliations
- General ledger maintenance
- Month-end close
- Prepare timely financial reports and dashboards for leadership
- Maintain the chart of accounts and ensure financial data integrity across systems
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis as needed
- Work independently to solve problems and take ownership of responsibilities across a small team
- Communicate clearly and consistently across three distinct company cultures
- Maintain a high level of discretion and confidentiality across all financial data and communications
Requirements
- 6 years of progressive accounting experience; comfortable operating without a large supporting team
- Highly detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple deadlines with urgency
- Strong entrepreneurial mindset and solutions-focused work ethic
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Experience with QuickBooks and Workamajig required; Sage Intacct experience a plus (company is transitioning to Sage)
- Holds a bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university (Accounting preferred); CPA a plus
