About the Opportunity
The Finance Controller will be responsible for establishing and managing the company's accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, compliance, internal controls, and manufacturing cost accounting functions. This role is ideal for a hands-on finance leader who can balance strategic financial oversight with day-to-day operational execution.
Key Responsibilities
πΉ Lead accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll accounting, and month-end close
πΉ Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
πΉ Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
πΉ Manage manufacturing cost accounting, inventory valuation, standard costing, and variance analysis
πΉ Partner with operations and plant leadership to improve production economics and profitability
πΉ Lead budgeting, forecasting, cash flow planning, and financial analysis initiatives
πΉ Monitor working capital, including inventory, receivables, payables, and cash management
πΉ Ensure compliance with tax regulations, financial controls, and reporting requirements
πΉ Support ERP implementation, process improvements, and financial system optimization
πΉ Create management dashboards, KPI reporting, and decision-support analytics
Qualifications
β CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred
β 7β10 years of accounting and finance experience
β 5 years of experience within manufacturing, industrial, chemical, materials, or process manufacturing environments
β Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, internal controls, and month-end close processes
β Expertise in cost accounting, inventory accounting, standard costing, and manufacturing variance analysis
β Experience operating in startup, private equity-backed, or high-growth environments is highly desirable
β Knowledge of Georgia state tax requirements and manufacturing incentives is a plus
